The purpose of the project

We were invited by a public services department to implement a digital solution to enable the public to report road and traffic information to the government electronically via a smartphone app or the website.

What we did

Our work was varied. We initially began with user research, managing the early reactions to the product. We worked closely with stakeholders to define the brand and assisted with supplier management. To ensure the project delivered its objectives, and the tool was fit for purpose, we conducted vigorous testing. To generate buy-in from stakeholders and also encourage the general public to use the online tool we developed a large change and communications strategy that included supportive training for all staff involved in the reporting and overview of reports. We also looked to the future and developed a plan to support their team in the second phase of development.

The outcome

The system was rolled out and is used across all parishes and public sector departments in Jersey and widely accepted by the general public. The project was delivered on time and on budget.
